MCR are seeking an experienced A-grade electrician to join a newly created technical team, based on site in a hyperscale data centre in Melbourne. 

The role:

• Working on a shift roster pattern, part of a team of site based operations technicians providing 24X7 coverage to this new critical facility
• Shift work will consist of a 4 on, 4 off pattern- day/nights
• Assisting in the maintenance, efficiency and reliability of a large and technically complex data centre facility

Duties & key responsibilities:

• Day to day duties including preventative maintenance, change management, site checks, managing contractors while possessing the ability work under pressure and facilitate maintenance.
• Fault finding
• Responding to alarms
• Adhering to SOPS, MOPS and change management protocols
• Incident reporting and documentation

Key Requirements

• Electrically qualified by trade - A-grade electrician
• Full working rights in Australia essential 
• Experience working with (installing, maintaining and / or commissioning) electrical infrastructure that is commonly found in critical environments - such as generators, UPS, air handling units, CRAC units etc
• Site based experience in critical environments
