Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Data Centres
Location: Sydney
Salary guide - (dependent on experience): up to $205k package + profit share + life + income protection + many more company benefits

Overview

MCR is looking for an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of data centre projects. With a pipeline of work covering some of the largest greenfield data centre construction projects in Australia; as well as complex brownfield projects, this role will see you taking a high profile role within the industry in Sydney.

Highlights

  • Leading Electrical Design:  You will take charge of electrical design for both brownfield and greenfield data centre projects. This involves creating and refining designs that align with clients' needs and project specifications.
  • Client Engagement:  Engaging directly with clients to thoroughly understand their requirements. You will present conceptual designs, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments to meet their expectations.
  • Internal and External Collaboration:  Co-ordinating across design disciplines including mechanical, hydraulics, fire, security, BMS, etc you'll be part of integrating the full data centre design.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Leadership experience working on data centre projects essential.
  • Knowledge and experience across UPS and standby generators
  • Experience of electrical designs up to 22kV
  • Professional or Chartered Engineer status, or on the pathway to achieving it.
