Salary: $200k - $210K + super and benefits
MCR are seeking a first class Technical Leader to lead site based engineering operations for an expanding hyperscale data centre operation. Working directly for an owner / operator of large scale data centre sites, you will be tasked with developing operational excellence for the site, and leading site based technical teams. You'll also be supporting new phase delivery and post construction handover, ensuring that the site expansion is successfully transitioned onto operational readiness.
We are seeking a vastly experienced technical leader, with extensive experience in leading operational maintenance teams in data centre environments.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all areas of critical operations, critical equipment and systems, ensuring site meets uptime requirement and customer SLAs
- Lead and develop PPM and look for opportunities for continual improvement
- Manage, support and mentor facilities engineering teams
- Responsible for contractual management of contractors, vendors and service providers
- Project management and point of liaison for project support, capital improvement, upgrades and major maintenance works
- Develop, review and implement MOPs, SOPs and best practice standards
- CAPEX/OPEX budget forecasting and management
- Negotiation and management of vendor agreements and associated SLAs
- Over 8 years' management experience in data centre, or other highly critical operation
- Engineering degree, or trades background
- Experience in leading site based MEP maintenance teams (electrical, mechanical & BMS)
- Experience in managing and developing preventative maintenance programs
- Extensive knowledge of HV & LV electrical distribution, UPS, generators, PDUs, Chillers, CRAC units, Cooling towers and BMS
- Strong communicator with ability to manage both internal and external customers - ability to influence at a high level
- Project Management experience
- High level Reporting and analysis skills
