We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join a leading data centre operator in Melbourne, taking a key role in the successful delivery and commissioning of major hyperscale data centre projects.
This is an opportunity for an experienced commissioning manager who has a proven track record leading data centre commissioning projects from planning through to completion.
About the role
You will be responsible for leading commissioning activities across simultaneous data centre projects, working closely with project teams, contractors, consultants and client stakeholders to ensure systems are delivered, tested and commissioned to the required standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the full commissioning process from design review through to operational readiness
- Develop and implement project specific commissioning plans, test procedures and documentation
- Oversee multi level testing including FAT, SAT, IST and functional performance testing
- Coordinate and lead multi disciplinary teams including contractors, vendors, consultants and ICAs.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications industry standards (including ASHRAE), quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
- Identify risks early, drive issue resolution and maintain clear reporting to stakeholders.
- Deliver complete, accurate commissioning documentation and support smooth transition to operations.
- Data centre project leadership commissioning experience essential
- Strong technical knowledge of data centre MEP systems and integrated testing methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high pressure environment, manage complex stakeholder environments and deliver programme and quality targets
- Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering qualifications (or equivalent trade)
- Salary guide (dependent on experience) $220,000 – $240,000 + Super + Bonus
