Overview
MCR are working with a start-up hyperscale data centre developer and operator in the Asia-Pacific region to recruit an APAC Security Director.
This senior leadership role reports directly in to C Level and drives security governance, operational resilience, risk management, and compliance across a growing portfolio of critical infrastructure sites
Key focus areas include:
- Overseeing enterprise-wide security policies, controls, incident response, and vendor management
- Building and testing robust business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management capabilities
- Embedding security-by-design in new builds and expansions through close collaboration with Operations, Design, Development, IT, and Legal teams
- Serving as the primary customer and stakeholder contact for security & resilience assurance, audits, and inquiries
- Driving continuous improvement, staying ahead of emerging threats/regulations, and fostering a proactive risk culture
- Proven experience in operational/physical security, corporate security, consultancy, law enforcement, or military environments
- Strong leadership in crisis management, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement
- Deep knowledge of physical, manned, and electronic security systems plus regulatory frameworks
- A critical, process-driven mindset with attention to detail and big-picture thinking
- Proactive approach, diligence, and forward-thinking attitude
