Melbourne is currently one of the major areas of the APAC data centre boom, and we are not looking for a generalist. This is a requirement for a Project Director who has been in the trenches of large-scale data centre delivery in recent years.
This needs a specialist who understands the hyperscale lifecycle from the first pile in the ground to the final IST.
The Role
You will be the strategic spearhead for a Tier-1 leader, managing a $300M+ program. This role bridges the gap between board-level governance and technical site execution.
- Proven Delivery: Lead the end-to-end management of complex data centre builds, ensuring seamless execution within the fast-paced mission-critical industry.
- Technical Governance: Oversee a high-performing technical team, including project managers, engineers, and design leads .
- Strategic Influence: Direct influence on regional business growth, strategy, and board-level funding initiatives .
- Critical Standards:
Apply a solid understanding of first principles for delivering in highly secure environments, including NV1 and SCEC 3, 4, and 5 areas.
If your recent experience doesn't feature major data centre builds, this isn't the role for you. We need a "pure-play" mission-critical expert who can step in and lead this new business unit.
- Data Centre DNA: Extensive, recent experience delivering large-scale data centre projects is essential.
- Infrastructure Mastery: Deep knowledge of MEP-heavy builds, HV/MV power, and complex cooling systems.
- Commercial Acumen:
Experience chairing project boards and managing procurement approvals for massive capital projects.
