The Engineering Lead (Mechanical) will serve as the key mechanical engineering authority for our datacenter platform. As an individual contributor, you will provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, from site selection and engineering design through construction, commissioning, and operations.
The role will work closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients to develop practical, reliable, and technically sound solutions that support project delivery and meet customer requirements.
What you'll do
- Provide mechanical engineering input during site evaluation and acquisition activities.
- Identify potential engineering risks, constraints, and development requirements.
- Review engineering designs and technical submissions to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with project requirements.
- Provide technical support throughout construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Support project teams in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and infrastructure-related issues.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients.
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, coordination meetings, and engineering workshops.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience within data centres, critical infrastructure, construction, or engineering environments.
- Proven experience supporting projects across design, construction, commissioning, and operations.
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge with excellent technical coordination and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
