Data centre construction is complex, often involving high-risk activities, multiple contractors, and tight timelines. This role is critical for ensuring that all work is carried out safely, in compliance with legislation and with minimal environmental impact.
As the HSE Advisor, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring our teams and partners stay safe and informed. From conducting audits to driving key safety initiatives,
your role will encompass:
- Lead and coordinate site safety audits—partnering with contractors, site managers, and facilities teams to drive compliance and accountability.
- Bring deep knowledge of safety legislation and best practices.
- Drive high standards through audits, investigations, and proactive risk management.
- Collaborate on WHS induction programs and be a key player in fostering a safety-first mindset for new and existing staff.
- Investigate incidents and non-compliance, implement corrective actions, and share learnings across teams to build a stronger safety culture.
- Deliver high-quality EHS reports to senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
- Australian citizenship is essential for this role due to data centre security clearance
- HSE experience within construction, engineering, or complex infrastructure environments.
- Solid knowledge of EHS legislation, IContinueSO standards, and local regulatory frameworks.
- Cert IV in OHS/WHS or higher.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence safety.
- Tech-savvy with experience using HSE management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven, organised, and committed to continuous improvement.
