closely Operations, Development, Commissioning and Project teams. You will take the ownership of high-voltage electrical operations while providing technical expertise across MV and LV systems, maintenance, commissioning, design reviews and electrical safety.
What You’ll Do
- Lead high-voltage switching operations across Hong Kong datacentres, ensuring safe and compliant operation of HV equipment.
- Author and peer-review HV switching instructions and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
- Carry out MV switching operations alongside the local Data Centre Operations team.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing / witness testing, both in Hong Kong and internationally.
- Support electrical design reviews for new Hong Kong data centre projects.
- Provide technical input during electrical incidents and support the Safety team with investigations and site preparation.
- Communicate technical requirements clearly to Operations teams, project teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in HV switching operations and LV electrical systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of MV/LV electrical infrastructure, including generators, UPS, PTUs, ATS and associated systems.
- Ability to explain complex electrical systems clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin/Cantonese.
- Comfortable working with Operations teams, General Contractors, consultants and project teams.
- Strong focus on electrical safety, operational reliability and risk management.
