Salary - $150,000 - $170,000 + super and bonus
This is a hands-on role suited to a subject matter expert who thrives in the field. You’ll take ownership of critical electrical systems while actively supporting site operations. You’ll be involved in fault response, engineering governance, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring systems operate safely and reliably at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the technical authority for key electrical infrastructure, including:
- High and low voltage distribution systems
- Transformers and switchboards
- Backup generation and fuel systems
- UPS and battery systems
- Provide on-the-ground technical support during Electrical faults, outages etc
- Protection trips and complex alarms
- Commissioning and post-incident recovery activities
- Lead fault diagnosis, isolation, and restoration planning
- Review and approve critical documentation, including switching procedures EOPs, MOPs, and SOPs
- Electrical trade qualification, diploma, or degree
- Significant experience working with mission-critical electrical systems (e.g. data centres, utilities, hospitals, or industrial environments)
- Strong hands-on experience with switching operations and fault finding
- Solid understanding of protection coordination and system discrimination
- Experience developing and reviewing switching procedures
