Electrical Engineering Manager
Location: Melbourne
Salary: $180,000 - $190,000+ super, bonus and benefits
MCR are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Site Engineer to act as electrical lead and subject matter expert for data centre facility operations. Working directly for an owner / operator of large-scale data centre sites, you will be a key part of a team tasked with developing operational excellence across the portfolio.
In this newly created role, the Electrical Engineering Lead will be a part of the leadership team on site, overseeing maintenance programs, assisting with the implementation of procedures and policies as the data centre portfolio expands in operation.
We are seeking an experienced engineer or tradesperson, with strong leadership and supervisory experience. This will be complemented with in depth knowledge of electrical infrastructure in critical environments.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the site-based teams, contractors and vendors
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for all electrical related equipment and systems
- Management of on-site vendors and contractors including all deliverables
- Ensuring continued uptime and maintaining site resilience
- Developing SOPs and MOPs and ensuring that they are up to date and adhered to
- Supporting site projects and commissioning
- Over 5 years' supervisory / management experience in data centre, or other mission critical operations management
- Experience in leading maintenance teams
- Experience in managing preventative maintenance programs
- Extensive knowledge of electrical equipment - UPS, HV, Switchgear etc
- Strong communicator with ability to manage both internal and external customers
- Relevant degree / qualifications of equivalent work experience / trade or licenses
