Design Manager | Data Centre projects
Location: Sydney
Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 + super and up to 50% bonus potential
Overview
Are you an experienced Design Manager with a strong background in leading Design process for data centres, or similarly complex, mission critical buildings?
We are seeking a highly motivated Design Manager
to oversee multi-disciplinary design for new hyperscale data centre projects in Sydney and Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary design process from concept through to construction and commissioning.
- Appointing engineering and design consultants and vendors
- Develop engineering and design briefs
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and client teams to ensure the design meets project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to stakeholders, ensuring high-quality design solutions are implemented.
- Review and approve design plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local codes, industry standards, and sustainability practices.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Civil/Structural Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience as a Design Manager or similar role in large-scale, complex data centre (or projects of similar complexity and scale) construction projects
- In-depth knowledge of both CSA & MEP Design. Preference is for strong structural knowledge/background, however civil or architectural grounding also considered.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
