A Melbourne-based data centre developer and owner is seeking an experienced Operational Contracts Manager to lead operational contract governance, performance, and risk management across a growing portfolio of data centres.
This role works closely with Operations, Design, Development, Legal and Finance teams to ensure operational contracts deliver value, remain compliant, and support long-term asset performance.
You will manage the full lifecycle of operational contracts, ensuring strong governance, vendor performance, and alignment with operational and commercial objectives. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on contract management in a complex, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain operational contract and financial management frameworks
- Undertake market due diligence and benchmarking
- Lead tendering processes
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of operational contracts, including renewals and amendments
- Maintain a centralised contract repository and documentation
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and SLAs
- Identify cost savings and performance improvement opportunities
- Extensive experience in contract management, procurement, mobilisation and vendor management of operational contracts in highly critical environments, ideally data centres
- Proven experience managing operational contracts in complex,mission critical environments
- Strong understanding of contract law, compliance and risk management
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Experience with contract management systems and Microsoft Office
