Overview
MCR are seeking a dynamic and client-focused BIM Manager to join a leading engineering consultancy with offices across EMEA and APAC .
Based in our clients' Sydney office , this role will focus on delivering high-profile data centre design projects across Australia, while providing expert BIM support to international projects.
The Role:
- Lead BIM strategy, execution, and delivery on Australian data centre projects from concept through to detailed design, with MEP emphasis
- Support global data centre and infrastructure initiatives across APAC and EMEA
- Collaborate closely with design teams, clients, and contractors to ensure high-quality, coordinated BIM deliverables
- Mentor and grow junior BIM staff — opportunity to shape and expand the local BIM function
- Present BIM solutions and project updates to clients, building strong, long-term relationships
- Consulting background essential in a multidisciplinary engineering/design environment, with a key focus on MEP systems
- Multidisciplinary background required; additional contractor experience highly regarded
- Proven experience as a BIM Manager or Senior BIM Coordinator
- Strong expertise in Revit , BIM workflows, standards (ISO 19650 preferred), clash detection, and model coordination for complex MEP-heavy projects
- Experience in data centre , hyperscale, mission-critical, or large-scale technical facility design highly regarded
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — confident engaging with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with the drive and vision to build and develop a BIM team in Australia
