MCR are seeking a motivated Assistant Critical Operations Manager to support the Senior Critical Operations Manager in leading onsite Critical Operations function in a new data centre.
This role will play an important part in maintaining the safe, reliable and compliant operation of a 24/7 data centre, including oversight of facilities and on-site security teams. This role is suited to someone who thrives in high-availability environments. You will contribute to the smooth running of essential infrastructure, ensuring systems, processes and people are aligned to deliver uninterrupted service to customers. You will assist in coordinating contractors and supporting incident response and reporting frameworks.
Key Accountabilitie
- Coordinate operational response to incidents, including investigation, reporting and follow up
- Assist with transition of new infrastructure into live operations, ensuring documentation, training and systems readiness
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance planning in a live critical environment
- Review operational procedures and planned works
- Partner with service providers and contractors to maintain performance standards
- Contribute to vendor relationship management and service reviews
- Support operational reporting across incidents, change activity and project works
- Background in data centres or other mission-critical 24/7 facilities
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems that support critical environments
- Experienced in the use of site based monitoring systems
- Knowlege of using CMMS and incident management tools
- Confident in dealing with senior stakeholder and customers
